POLYUREA

Polyurea is formed through a chain reaction between an isocyanate prepolymer and an amine, combining the advantages of epoxy and polyurethane. This enables rapid-curing spray application, catalyst-free reactions, and wide use across architectural and industrial coatings as well as insulation systems.

03Application Procedure

① Surface Preparation

Concrete: Remove foreign substances, contaminants, and other impurities.

Steel: Remove rust, oil, and other contaminants using abrasive blasting.

② Substrate Sealing

(Concrete Surface)

Adjust and prepare the substrate using grouting materials, sealants, polymer cement, putty, and resin mortar.

③ Primer Application

For concrete and steel surfaces, apply the recommended polyurea primer using a brush, roller, or spray to prevent pinholes and improve adhesion.

④ First Spray Application

Within 4–8 hours after primer application, apply the polyurea coating to achieve a film thickness of approximately 0.6 mm.

⑤ Second and Third Spray Applications

After repairing defects such as pinholes and cracks, apply the polyurea coating in 2–3 additional coats within 24 hours to achieve the desired film thickness.

⑥ Top Coating

If pinholes are present, repair them using appropriate repair materials, and apply a colored topcoat to exposed areas.
